MECFD started friday morning no different than any other, at around 09:00hrs the first call came in for a AFA 24 Crystal Run Xing. Car 6 called inservice and had the command. While enroute the Dept was toned out for a second general alarm at the Galleria Mall. Car 1 had command of that assignment. Due to localized flooding across the area the MECFD would remain busy for the rest of the day, handling multiple pump outs, water rescues, MVA's, and general alarms. The Big House would eventually respond to a total of 18 calls for the day. During the 24 hour period 1 Engine Co., 1 Rescue Co, 1 Squad Co. and 2 Chief Officers were manning the district.
