Ladder Company 21, Engine Company 25, Automatic Alarm with Forcible Entry

At approximately 2300 hours on May 2nd, MECFD was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding in a commercial building.

Ladder Company 21 responded with a full crew, Chaueffer, Officer, Irons, Can, and Roof.

Engine Company 25 responded shortly thereafter.

Car 5 assumed command.

Upon arrival, Ladder 21 crews observed a locked commercial sliding door with a commercial articulating deadbolt.

Orange County Dispatch advised command that a building keyholder had been contacted, and was 20 minutes away.

Ladder Company 21 made forcible entry to the front door by defeating the lock.

Interior search revealed no fire or hazardous conditions.

Interior team one also made forcible entry to an interior office door using a Hydra-Ram, while searching for threats to life and property.

Key holder arrived, units picked up and returned.
